Bloque
the most recent project by Patricia Urquiola for Agape. A deconstruction of the traditional bathroom furniture into a series of planes and surfaces that define new Cartesian spaces.
Bloque
is not a container, but an architectural system where every element—horizontal, vertical, void—participates in the definition of space. The result is a three-dimensional framework that structures the environment instead of inhabiting it.

Bloque is
design flexibility. Available in a wide variety of configurations, the new system allows for every design need, from residential bathrooms to hospitality spaces, from living areas to wellness contexts. Each configuration can be customized down to the centimetre. Every component of the system can be specified in terms of materials, dimensions, and finishes. Designed to accommodate the entire range of Agape countertop washbasins, Bloque naturally adapts to different architectural contexts while maintaining formal coherence and compositional flexibility.

Bloque is
dialogue between materials. Stone and wood are not just finishes, but expressive protagonists. Patricia Urquiola explores the narrative potential of materials through a framework that enhances their textures, visual weight, and tactile presence. Stone, available in selected marbles and glazed lava stone, brings continuity and mass. Wood introduces perceptual warmth and graphic counterpoint through its grains. Each composition balances structure and matter, where the dialogue between elements becomes the very language of the project.

Bloque is
artisanal precision: integrated container units, high-quality components, and attention to construction detail. The processing of the frontage, with options for bas-relief or continuous surfaces, transforms each composition into a tactile as well as visual object. The invisible joints between modules, the integrated retractable mechanisms, and the adaptable fastening system reflect Agape's approach: bespoke solutions where technical complexity dissolves into formal clarity.
